- "I moved to Seattle after graduating from college. Not knowing anyone in Washington, I joined NAIOP and soon started participating in the Developing Young Leaders program. Through this program I have been introduced to a number of great men and women who are very active in the commercial real estate industry. I have since had the pleasure of working with many of these individuals over the past 4 years, and look forward to continuing to build relationships through NAIOP."
-George Chevaillier, LBA Realty
- "I have been fortunate to meet and do business with many Developing Leaders in the Puget Sound region. As the market changes and roles shift it is my relationships within the DL community of NAIOP that have been consistent and contributed to expansion of my personal and professional network within the commercial real estate industry."
-Scott Hutchinson, Old Republic Title Company
- "Being new to the commercial real estate industry as a broker (and fresh out of college), NAIOP gave me the chance to network with like-minded industry professionals, helping me to expand my network of service providers, owners/ asset managers and young individuals also looking to break into the industry. I was even able to help an asset manager push to change some cumbersome signage legislation through the Government Affairs Committee. NAIOP has been essential to my business development and will continue to be an integral part of my future in the property world."

Take a handful of young professionals from varying fields within the real estate community, add a fresh outlook and a dash of seasoned industry experts, and what do you get? NAIOP’s "Developing Leaders" group.
The aim of this networking group is to offer a venue for young, under-35 professionals to share ideas and form peer-to-peer business connections that they will value for years to come. These rising stars gain business insight not only from other future leaders, but from established real estate and development industry experts as well; building an influential professional network. The "Developing Leaders" committee helps plan monthly community service activities as well as internal educational seminars and round tables.
