Enterprise Community Partners, Forterra and NAIOP are hosting a forum for Gubernatorial Candidates Attorney General Rob McKenna and Congressman Jay Inslee. The host organizations share an interest in smart infrastructure investments and land use that can accommodate growth and offer access to diverse economic opportunities, a good quality of life and the extraordinary natural assets of our State.
The forum will focus on each Candidate’s vision for how to grow the economy, while setting our communities on a course for a sustainable future accessible to all of Washington’s residents.
In the next 100 years, the Puget Sound region’s population is expected to double, pressuring already-strained cities and challenging the region to steward natural resources that must provide many, sometimes conflicting benefits. Meanwhile, communities across the State are seeking new opportunities to create good local jobs and a high quality of life drawing on our unique assets and benefiting all of Washington’s residents. Washington’s next Governor must chart a course that navigates divergent priorities in an era of shrinking governmental capacity, a changing climate, and societal flux.
Enterprise Community Partners, Forterra and NAIOP have chosen to co-host because of our state’s urgent need for new approaches based on common interest.
Breakfast will be served promptly at 7:30 am. Table seating is unassigned.
