How developers, retailers, and tenants can take advantage of changing neighborhoods

In a time of rapid change for Seattle, a city of neighborhoods, how are developers and retailers creating the social capital that creates lasting desirability in places? Hear insider perspectives from three industry leaders about the urban and social qualities that draw investors, tenants and residents, creating and fostering healthy neighborhoods. Three case studies highlight the vibrant and evolving micro-communities of Pioneer Square, Capitol Hill and Columbia City.

Margaret McCauley of Downtown Works will explain the strategy behind the renaissance of Pioneer Square, Jill Sherman of Gerding Edlen will discuss plans for the Capitol Hill Light Rail District and Joe Ferguson will talk through the attraction of Columbia City. After the case studies, Dylan Simon will moderate a short discussion on the classic and new qualities of vibrant, lively neighborhoods.
