Development through the Living Building Pilot Program

Panel_HeadshotsLBC logoIn partnership with The Cascadia Green Building Council’s Seattle Collaborative and the AIA’s Committee on the Environment, NAIOP's Sustainable Development Committee invites you to learn about City of Seattle’s innovative zoning and permitting ordinance, the Living Building Pilot Program. This much anticipated event offers an in-depth look into the viability and profitability of this program, specifically for those looking to develop property in the City of Seattle.

The advocacy driven presentation will educate participants on the allowable departures from the Seattle Land Use Code by achieving Living Building Challenge certification, clarification of the requirements to participate in the program, and insight from developers that have successfully navigated the pilot.

Presenters:

  • Brett Phillips, Unico Properties
  • Alicia Daniels Uhlig, International Living Future Institute
  • Joanna Callahan, Hess Callahan Partners
  • Andy Lee, Architecture 2030
  • Jess Harris, Seattle Department of Construction and Inspections
