Each fall, NAIOP Washington State host s a day of community service that provides needed upgrades and maintenance to a selected project site. We are excited to partner with the YMCA of Grea ter Seattle for our 2023 Community Enhancement Project: Camp Kilworth.
< p>Located on 25 acres in Federal Way, Camp Kilworth was a long-time Boy Sco uts camp until it closed in 2016. Recently, Forterra purchased the land and entered a 50-year lease with YMCA in hopes to preserve and revitalize the camp for the South King County community. The YMCA plans to use the site to host kid’s day camps, environmental education programs, and community even ts as part of their commitment to connecting all youth, especially youth of color, to the outdoors and building a generation of diverse outdoor leader s. Starting Summer 2024, YMCA plans to host more than 5,000 South King County kids per year at Camp Kilworth. You can help us mak e that goal a reality. When you sponsor Community Enhancement , you are making a difference in our community and paving the way for futur e generations to learn, grow and thrive in the Pacific Northwest.
