NAIOP Washington State Committees

NAIOP's committees and task forces are the heart of NAIOP and the main channels for membership involvement, innovative thinking, creative problem solving and association action. Committees set the direction for chapter activities.

Community Enhancement

Plans the implementation of our annual one-day community service project to benefit a deserving local non-profit or government organization.

Developing Leaders

Students and real estate professionals 35 and younger dedicated to the growth and sustainability of commercial real estate in Washington State.

Finance Committee

Provides financial oversight and budget guidance and communicates financial reporting to the NAIOP board of directors and committees. 

Government Affairs

Plays an active role in administrative and legislative processes, helping achieve favorable political and legal conditions for the Puget Sound region’s commercial real estate activities.


The Marketing & Communications committee builds the chapter brand through communicating the organization's values and supporting the goals of the committees-at-large.


Works to deepen membership engagement and increase member value, as well as to grow and develop the member base.

Night of the Stars

Organizes our annual gala awards ceremony, recognizing local real estate projects and companies for their impact on the community, market adaptability, ingenuity and local contributions.


Books influential developers, service providers and community leaders to speak at our popular monthly Breakfast Meetings, which bring together members from all disciplines for structured presentations and networking opportunities.

Property Tour

NAIOP’s annual Property Tour explores a flourishing neighborhood in the Puget Sound region and highlights development projects connected by a common theme.

Real Estate Challenge

An annual contest matching teams from regional universities' real estate programs, focusing on a development/redevelopment project in the Puget Sound area. 

South Sound

Promotes membership in cities south of Seattle, and develops programs and activities that address issues specific to the area’s commercial real estate market.

Summer Social

Organizes the Summer Social Golf Tournament, a networking event for 65+ sponsor companies and 288 golfers, which helps fund government affairs and community enhancement projects.

Sustainable Development

Expands members’ knowledge regarding sustainability from the developer’s and owner’s perspectives and works closely with the Government Affairs Committee on policy initiatives.
