NAIOPWA to Partner with Commercial Brokers Association on Industry Awards
Commercial real estate association now soliciting nominations for 2024 awards cycle recognizing leading brokers in Washington State.
SEATTLE – NAIOP Washington State, local chapter of the national commercial real estate association, has announced a brand-new partnership with the Commercial Brokers Association (CBA) for the annual Night of the Stars gala and awards ceremony in November.
The pair of industry associations have launched an inaugural Broker Market Impact Awards program that highlights the outstanding work of brokers across a wide array of disciplines in Puget Sound.
Categories of recognition include both leasing and investment categories:
- Office Broker of the Year
- Industrial Broker of the Year
- Retail Broker of the Year
- Multifamily Broker of the Year
- Investment Broker of the Year
- Rising Star Broker of the Year
In addition, a unique Open Category has been launched to honor brokers whose work extends beyond traditional asset classes, at a time when exciting deals in aerospace, biotech, and more are increasingly common.
The partnership heralds a new chapter for the Night of the Stars awards as the industry continues to emphasize the value and importance of professional brokers in the success of commercial real estate. Nominees will be evaluated on transaction volume, deal complexity, and community impact.
NAIOP Washington State represents over 1,000 members across 400 member companies in the Puget Sound region. The organization is the leading trade association for developers and associated professionals in commercial real estate.
CBA is a broker-owned commercial real estate Multiple Listing Service serving the needs of brokers and affiliated professionals in Washington and Idaho. Since its inception in 1977, the association has provided market research, listing services, legal contracts, networking, and education to its 4,000+ members across 1100+ brokerage offices. CBA’s members include the Pacific Northwest’s top CRE influencers and companies in associated industries.
CBA President and CEO Chris McDougall said, "We are deeply honored and proud to partner with NAIOP Washington State. This collaboration provides us with the invaluable opportunity to celebrate and recognize the top-performing brokers for their exceptional achievements. Showcasing their success at such a prestigious event, in the presence of the most influential and important members of the commercial real estate community in our region, is truly a privilege."
NAIOPWA Executive Director Danielle Duvall shared a similar sentiment. “We are excited to partner with CBA on these awards for Night of the Stars. The level of broker talent in our region is unmatched, and the development community is eager to honor the hardworking dealmakers who keep our industry running.”
Arguably the most anticipated industry event of the year, Night of the Stars recognizes local real estate projects and companies for their impact on the community, market adaptability, ingenuity and local contributions. The black-tie gala hosts over 1,000 attendees and features 60+ finalist projects. This year’s event will be at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue on Friday, November 1.
The nominating window for the 2024 Night of the Stars Broker Awards runs now through August 16, 2024. Submissions will be received on the Night of the Stars nominating website.
