Join NAIOPWA for an engaging conversation with the Washington State Department of Commerce to discuss the requirements and implementation of SB 5722, a bill passed by the Washington State Legislature in 2022. Attendees will have the opportunity to provide real-time feedback, ask questions, and be involved in the rulemaking and implementation process.

SB 5722 is aimed at reducing greenhouse gasses in buildings and requires adoption of clean building performance standards for commercial buildings larger than 20,000 square feet and for multifamily buildings larger than 50,000 square feet. This bill builds on legislation adopted in 2019 addressing performance standards for commercial buildings larger than 50,000 square feet.
