NAIOPWA’s famous Summer Property Tour is going virtual! Starting in June, NAIOPWA will highlight noteworthy CRE development projects in the Puget Sound region, including office, industrial, multifamily, mixed-use and retail. Free to members, these behind-the-scenes tours will be interactive and curated for the ultimate virtual experience. Project Description: Located at 201 Westlake Avenue N. in south Lake Union, the newly completed, citizenM Hotel is well-located and designed for the mobile citizen - business travelers and adventurers in mind. This European hotel brand takes a different spin on hospitality. Guestrooms are designed to be compact, just the width of a king bed and only 160 SF, to provide just what travelers need – a king-size bed, shower and a fast Wi-Fi connection. In-room iPads enable guests to control everything, from heating and air conditioning, TV and movies (all movies are free) to customizable LED mood lighting around the restroom/shower pod. Additionally, the tablets allow guests to track the hotel’s real-time sustainability performance, which will get a boost from green features like a chilled-beam HVAC system. The hotel is LEED Gold Certified. The public spaces include a fitness center, a lively living room with modern décor and art that welcomes work and play, and canteenM that features food, snacks and drinks available 24/7 to meet any traveler’s need. Unique project features: The hotel includes 264 guestrooms, built utilizing full volumetric modular construction. The 6 levels of guestrooms were stacked over a two-level concrete podium. The modular units were fabricated off-site in a European manufacturing facility and transported to the Port of Everett on a private ship where they were staged and delivered to the construction site just-in-time. The hotel modules arrived complete with all finishes, rights down to the toilet paper holders. The only items installed on-site were the fire alarm connections, mattress, pillows and towels.
